Whether you're eloping at the court house; or getting hitched in Vegas; here's 8 tips for a simple, no-frills wedding.
- Do a destination. With the money being saved from not having a big bash; you'll be able to have the wedding somewhere with a little more significance.
- Go potluck. If you're having a small reception after a private ceremony, have the guests each bring a separate dish.
- Go to happy hour. If you want to ditch the reception all together then you can still have your friends meet you at your favorite bar for happy hour.
- Get services instead of gifts. Friends and family would probably jump at the chance to forgo pricey gifts, and give services (hair, make up, photos, etc.) instead.
- Take a chance. Without 200+ guests to worry about, you, your betrothed, and your closest friends and family members can take an adventurous outing together.
- Skip the ball gown. It'll save time, money, stress, and there'll be no fittings. You can even find a cute one-of-a-kind outfit.
- Be courteous. For the friends and family who aren't there for the nuptials, send hand-written notes expressing your love for them so they don't feel completely left out.
- Be spontaneous. By not planning a wedding, and spontaneously getting married you can still have an awesome, memorable day without any stress.
